COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well I'm formally new to Couch Surfing, however, it has happened that I've effectively made use of my pancake powers to comfortably welcome old and new friends into my home.

I've heard people say that the world and everything in it is connected. As I grow older I find that those people haven't been too wrong, but the thing is:

In Alexandria, Egypt where the streets weave patterns only known to those who live there understand, the minarets churn to life 5 times a day.

As the muezzin recites the call to prayer the sound bounces of the walls and weaves through these streets as it moves in and out of focus as we cross the city.

At sunset in an empty tram on an otherwise bustling street the most peaceful sounds reach my ears as the clack clack clack of the tram passes a nearby mosque.

The adhan lasts perhaps two minutes of which I only heard in passing, the most beautiful melody of my life.
