ABOUT ME

I'm a visiting teacher at a university in Iasi, Romania for the year. I'm having an excellent time and I hope to do as much traveling as I can and - more important - get to meet a lot of people who enjoy showing off their cities!

PHILOSOPHY

I care deeply about the things that are important to me...
...but I like to laugh or be amused by weird things that happen.. it's much more fun than getting upset...

To use a teaching analogy: I think we're all students of the world, and I think it's one class that we can all pass! ...provided we give enough effort to listen and share experiences with each other!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I just discovered this site so I'm still getting used to it but really enjoying all it has to offer. Once I settle down somewhere, I hope to be a host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met up with CSers from Timisoara and Belgrade so far and it's definitely been a great experience! Getting to explore a city with a local is a real treat that no guidebook can compare to!

Music, Movies, and Books

like the Human League (as you can see ha), Simple Minds, mostly any 80s music. Movie-wise I like movies that usually involve travel or speed, and/or include an international city... on books, I love travel essays...
