Hi guys! We're Emilly and Matthew from Liverpool in the UK. On the 24/05/2017 we set out on our biggest adventure to date.. A 15 month adventure around Scandinavia and Europe. Mostly we are using helpx to work along our way but we have not stopped hearing the benefits of couch surfing so we thought we would give it a shot. We hope to gain mostly friendships out of our couchsurfing experience but also would love to experience the true culture of the places we visit. We hope to eventually host other couchsurfers and shot them around where ever we decide we would like to lay out hats. A bit about us individually, Emilly is 24 and works for a bank. She loves to cook, read, take photos, write her blog and loves to be surrounded by nature and beautiful sites. Matty is 26 and works for our local airport. He loves food, games, football, soccer, taking photos, beer and reading to mention a few. We both love to keep in shape and are keen power lifters and fitness enthusiasts. Anywhere with a good view, good food or good company and we will be happy. Our itinerary is varied. We are starting in Trondheim Norway and working our way down to Denmark, Poland, Hungary and around to Romania, Bulgaria and Greece for a bit of island hopping. We Will then head around all the Balkan states and up to Italy, Croatia, Austria and Switzerland. We will then hop over to the Netherlands and then to France where we hope to stay for a little while until we decide what to do next.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on couchsurfing to meet new people and dive head first into the cultures of other countries through the eyes of the locals and off the tourist trails. We really hope to make some friends around the world who have good stories to tell and places to show us if they have the time. We really hope that we can one day show people around where we decide to settle too. In return we can cook awesome meals and really good, friendly, tidy and polite company.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Music wise we are both very open. We both love Rock and Folk music and also some of the classics. We love classic RNB and love country and jazz. Basically..anything as long as its not suuuper heavy boom boom dance music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made it to 24 and 26!. We are yet to have any experience worth super noting. We have both been abroad a lot and seen some places but nothing we can yet scream from the roof tops. We are very confident as soon as we leave that we will have a lot to tel.

Teach, Learn, Share

Emilly loves to teach how to cook and Matty loves to teach soccer. We would both LOVE to learn anything you may wish to teach. If you could give us a hand learning a bit of your first language we would absolutely love that. We can also help brush up on and English skills. Matty also has a degree in Business Management and Emilly is quite good with a camera.
