Not a partier, nor someone who will show you nightlife. I will, however, go hiking with you, explore free activities around Dallas and Fort Worth, and perhaps enjoy a swim at my apartment's pool.

You can always, always learn something from every person you come across.

I've been hosting on Couchsurfing and Airbnb for years and I love it. Right now I have a 2-bedroom near DFW airport and I have the space to host visitors depending on my schedule.

When I'm out of town, it's super useful for me to host CSers to keep my kitty company and water the plants. Emma-cat is fairly self-sufficient, but she gets lonely when I'm away and prefers to have her litter scooped more than once a week ;-)
