ABOUT ME

My name is Thekla and I´m a teacher for English and Art. I love my friends(!), music, travelling, reading, dancing, ...
I am an easy going person, full of energy, rather impulsive, like to laugh and talk, the smell of rain, cedar trees and the moment in the year when for the first time you smell the autumn in the air - no worries, I´m not generally obsessed with my nose;)
I love days outside and returning (eventually) all muddy and happy.
I like everything new and am excited to experience as much as possible and to meet great people from all over the planet!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I like seeing a country connected to the peolpe who live there and not just from the hotel window. Also, I like meeting new people.
After several exchanges in school where I stayed with host families, I remember feeling very weird in a Swedish Hotel because it just didn´t feel like being really "there" as it was such an anonymous place.

兴趣

Paper, water, arts - especially graphics, sculptures and performative art connected to the body, music (I play the ukulele and trumpet, used to play sax), dancing, reading , my friends, theatre, travelling, yoga, hiking, mountains, spending evenings in the kitchen with friends drinking wine, trees, old houses, thunderstorms, languages(esp. learning Russian), cooking, long walks, biking, having fun, also being serious, laughing...by the way, I probably make the best bagels and muffins in the world;)

If you want, I can take you to school with me (I´m a teacher) - my Russian hosts did so and it was super interesting! Also, we could go hiking in nearby Saxon Switzerland which is really beautiful - or hit some bars which are just outside the front door or explore the city. In case you just really need to crash somewhere, the kitchen or living room can be our place for the evening.
