About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world and just experience life as much as possible
ABOUT ME
I'm a pretty chill person. I love trying new things and meeting new people. I have degrees in both journalism and anthropology, so I love telling stories and especially hearing stories from people whose lives are completely different from my own. I'm kind of a random person with so many interests that it is often hard to keep a one-track mind.
PHILOSOPHY
There are always two sides to every story (sometimes even a lot more). An open mind and an open heart can take you anywhere and teach you everything about the world if you just take a moment to hear every side of the story.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
With my job as a journalist I'm on the go a lot (with a pretty tight budget as you can imagine). I love CS because it gives me a unique perspective into the places I go to and how people live their lives in other places around the world. I've never had a bad CS experience, a few awkward moments, but let's face it, life is full of those precious awkward moments.
Interests
I love to travel, see new things and new people, all while learning about new and intriguing cultures! I'm a freelance journalist and photographer. My passion lies in telling stories that have never been told before, bringing issues to light and just providing a window into the lives of people different than myself or my readers.

Music, Movies, and Books
Literally all genres of music (especially things I can dance to)! My dad was in the movie business, and I grew up around the cinema, so asking me to choose a favorite movie is like asking a mother to choose a favorite child. Love all books, but I've been particularly into nonfiction travel/adventure/tragedy novels lately. Still, my favorite author will forever be Charles Dickens
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So many moments have left me awestruck. Petra in Jordan left me literally hanging with my jaw dropped. I was absolutely gorgeous and the fact that people could have carved these magnificent structures into canyon walls blew my mind (not to mention they did it without all the conveniences of modern technology).
I recently went skydiving and that was also a moment where instead of being terrified as I was free falling through the sky, all I could do was smile!
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about other cultures as I studied anthropology for four years (don't worry though, I'm good at explaining things without sounding like a textbook). I also have extensive knowledge of movie/photo editing software and can teach you pretty much anything you want to know about journalism if you're nerdy like me. I'm also a pretty good dancer!
