About Me

Hi there! We are Anaïs (24) and Théo (29), a French couple currently exploring the beautiful lands of Australia.
We landed in Melbourne in December 2025 and are now making our way up to Queensland. We’ve embarked on a year-long journey across Oceania to reconnect with what matters: nature, people, and a "lighter" way of living.
Our Philosophy
We are moving away from the city buzz to find more "concrete" experiences. After Brisbane, we plan to live the 4x4 life, traveling to farms for fruit picking and working with animals. We love the idea of waking up in the middle of nowhere, brewing a coffee, and listening to some Leon Bridges while planning our next move.
What we are like
Anaïs: I have a background in psychology and a heart for the land. I’ve spent time Wwoofing in France and Italy, growing veggies and taking care of farm animals. I’m quite comfortable in English and love deep conversations over a cup of tea.
Théo: I’m a former fitness coach and delivery driver, so I’m always happy to help with physical tasks or garden work! I’m also a portrait artist in my spare time. I’m currently improving my English, so I’m always up for a language exchange!
What to expect when hosting us
We are very easy-going and respectful of your space. We believe in the "Leave No Trace" philosophy, whether in nature or in your home. We love cooking with whatever is in the fridge, sharing stories about our travels, and building genuine trust with our hosts.
We are not just looking for a place to sleep; we are looking for human connection and to discover the local lifestyle through your eyes.
Hope to cross paths with you soon! 🌿🔅

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on Couchsurfing because we believe travel is about the people you meet, not just the places you see. We are looking for genuine human connections and a chance to experience the "real" Australian lifestyle as we transition to a simpler, nature-focused way of living. We want to build relationships based on trust and mutual exchange.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: We can teach you how to cook some classic French dishes (or improvise with what's in the fridge!). Théo can give you fitness tips or even draw your portrait. Anaïs can share her knowledge about gardening and animal care from her Wwoofing experiences.
Learn: We are eager to learn about Australian culture, local "slang," and the best secret spots in the wild. Théo is very motivated to improve his English through conversation
We love sharing stories from our travels, deep conversations about life, and of course, our French playlist (Leon Bridges included!).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Beyond our French cooking skills and being "pros" at doing the dishes, we offer a positive and joyful atmosphere! Théo is very handy and happy to help with physical tasks, gardening, or cleaning. Anaïs is great with plants and animals. We are respectful, clean, and always ready to help around the house.
