Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, well, well ! I always have door open, I receive people all the time in my house, provided I have a room available (which is not alwas the case).
In my house, it's like this : people feel at home, I receive them and they take part without expectation.
It's simple and fun. I trust but only if I see some profile on the web, I need to see that the person has a life experience somehow.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In 2013, I was greatly received by 2 different dudes in Palm Springs California, while attending to TED.
Great experience.
Ever since I'm open to receive couchsurfers.
Just drop some lines about you in a practical way : when you'd arrive, what you expect and provide
I usually just as some help for the sheets (bring yours or wash them on the day you leave)
I'm often traveling, and have a friend living in the same house which takes care of receving guests when I'm not home, but also I have many friends so often my appartment

What I Can Share with Hosts
Hosting if i have free space and time. Cooking together. Going to shows.
Where I live, it's one of the first ecovillages from Switzerland, it's near a train station, in the wineyards
I have a private flat, with an additional room (with independant entry), with a private bathroom (this is where I usually host my guest), a shared cafeteria, a cultural center.
Since we have shared spaces, we ask for ID before giving the key (95% trust and 5% control)
We have usually shared meals in the evening in the cafeteria (persons come from their private appartment and cook toigether, you can take part and bring some food to cook with us), and 2x per week (tuesdays and thursdays) we have vegetarian nice lunch buffets at noon (value 10Euro/person) prepared by a chief
Also we do musical shows once in a while.
