Finish my PhD thesis, and then... try to find a job (maybe?) ;)

ABOUT ME

I am a PhD student doing my thesis in Switzerland. I live at the foot of the Alps, in the french part of Switzerland. As you can guess, I love the mountains, lakes (hopefully, since that's what my PhD is about), travelling with my bike, and a bunch of other stuff :). Among other things I develop the website http://meteolakes.ch, which forecasts (and monitor) the state of Swiss lakes. Who knows, maybe it will help you plan your next swim in Switzerland ;).

I am an enthusiastic person, always up for meeting new people, going out to have a drink, discovering local cultures and learning languages.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is like riding a bike, to keep balance you've got to keep going forward.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just one, but a great one :). I stayed two days with some lovely girls in Denver on my way to a conference in Fort Collins. We cooked (well they cooked) an amazing louisian crawfish boil in the middle of Colorado, I would have never guessed ending doing that over there :)

Had a second one after the first (no way!?). I went to Utah, Nevada and Arizona at the end of my master thesis in Michigan and surfed a couch in Las Vegas. As soon as I got there, after saying hi it was time for party! I met great people who showed me some of the many faces of Vegas. An amazing time and experience during those several days with them.

Interessi

I love motorcycling and traveling (I traveled almost trough all Europe with my bike), sailing, skiing, sharing travel experiences, etc. Otherwise I like the environment (which is what I study, environmental engineering) and way to many other things to properly focus on my studies :)

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Well I think I can honestly say that every country I visited written down here was amazing (slight preference for the Himalayan roads, rice terrasses in China, and my little Alps though :) )
