About Me
Hi!
I'm Theo, originally from Paris and moving to Berlin in September. I'm a geography student at University College London. My mum says that I'm a nice guy, and I say i'm quite easy-going and open-minded. The fact that my parents work in an airline company gave me the chance to travel to many different places already, and I noticed that regardless where you're going the trip is always better when you connect and talk with people from the country/city you're visiting. So I guess that's why I'm here!
I'm also a big fan of movie editing and graphic design and cinema
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friends have told be about CS for quite a long time and although I find the concept amazing, I never had the guts to travel on my own until this summer. So that's a first for me and I'm quite happy (and stressed, lol) I'm finally doing it.
I'm visiting Ireland on my own from the 12th till the 18th of July and would like to discover the country through the eyes of a local. I'm planning to start off at Galway and then go along the Wild Atlantic Way. More than just looking for a place to sleep, I'd be grateful if someone could show be a bit around and give me tips on the most authentic places/walks to do. And also go to the pub with me. I haven't booked anything except my return plane ticket, so I'm more than flexible and open to do anything with you, be it climb a mountain or do a pub crawl!
Also: what prompted me to get on CS is this french documentary series called 'Nus et Culottés' (naked & ballsy). It's a real-life show where two best friends decide to go from France towards a given location (which changes at every episode) without using any money, phone or clothes. Their goal is to reach their destination by relying only on the kindness and hospitality of other people. That's with the same spirit that I'm starting my couchsurfing adventure (but no worries, I won't be naked, Ireland is too cold for me)

Favourite movie: Week-end - Andrew Haigh
Favourite book: Human Chain - Seamus Heaney (a big fan of poetry even though i don't know anything about it!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmmm... I think it's last year, when I did some wild camping on a UNESCO heritage fortress in Kotor, Montenegro during my interrail trip with a friend - but don't worry we respected the place and didn't leave any trash behind us :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a French person, it may seem cliché to say that I love food but ... I really do. And I can cook some quite nice dishes, starting with my killer carbonara pasta (not good if you're on a diet)
I'd also be happy to give some language classes to my host (or at the very least, teach badass French slang). I also enjoy editing videos and designing, so if you're interested in this and would like some tips I'm more than happy to help.
More generally, I think it's fair to say I'm a lively and dynamic guy and I would love to talk with my host about our different backgrounds and life experiences.
