I am a mainlander that is tired of the New England bitter winters. I have lived in USA for over 30 years and I hail from Texas, NYC and Boston. I am excited to make the leap to Hawaii and explore the many adventures that await me around the Pacific.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a globe trekker and I have enjoyed all sort of accommodations. Sure, the fancy hotels are nice and all, but in reality, I am an outdoorsy trailblazer. I would probably only enjoy the indoors if it was due to extreme weather conditions, otherwise I love being outside and discovering new cultures, communities, and hidden destination gems.

Music, Movies, and Books

I particularly love classic rock and roll music. But, my family had a wedding band so I grew up listening to all kinds of music: Doo-woop, classical, musicals, hip hop, rock, oldies, and pretty much open to anything. I love the book series - game of thrones and the Matrix will remain one of my favorite movies. I pretty much like all Pixar productions but who cant help liking a movie like Love Actually. My range is large, but Comedy and Action will always entice me at the theaters. The last book I read was Guns, Gems and Steel. The last audio book was Obama's: Dreams of my Father.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have learned that I have a love hate relationship with running. As a kid, I loved basketball and sprinting up an down the court even though I am undersized at 5.5 ft compared to my 6'+ teammates. But, I always had speed. As I got older, running a 5k turned into training for a half, to completing a full marathon and now triathlon training. I am amazed at the resilience of the human body and I cant wait until I push my self again at the next race.

I love to teach people math (algebra to calculus), I love to continue learning and perfecting my Spanish as I only learned in High School, and I love to share my affinity to sports with others that drive for competition or just wanting to learn and take their passion to the next PR

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my cooking skills and other handy home abilities. As a home owner, I have lived in newer builds and turn of the century builds that might need love and care. So, getting my hands dirty is no problem as long as there is a plan. I love outdoor activities, cooking when its raining outside, or even searching for the perfect foodie adventure crawl throughout the local city.
