Somebody once said "life is about racing to the grave, it is about savouring the present". That is one quote I identify with! I like taking my time when it comes to my interests and the people I love :)

I just finished my master in Industrial Ecology and I after a period of working as freelance sustainability consultant, I am starting a new job in a chemical company in Arnhem, The Netherlands, right on the border with Germany. At the same time, I experiment on different types of music as an experienced bass player! Last but not least, I am very interested in people, culture and social issues.

The best travelling experiences I remember were when I was sleeping on other people's couches, floors (or even balconies!). There is no more authentic way to explore a new city and meet new people, than immersing yourself in the local culture and connecting with your hosts :)

Interesses

I love trying new things! I once wondered how difficult it would be to make beer, so I gathered two chemist friends of mine and we made our own batch! Over the period of a year, we explored different recipes, while drinking our own product ;) I always follow my seemingly endless curiosity, until the next challenge!

Music: Alternative rock, acoustic, latin, lounge, even electro if the mood is right!

Movies & Series: Anything by David Lynch, Quentin Tarantino or Christopher Nolan. I love 90s cinema, such as Trainspotting, Fight Club, some romance such as 5X2 and before sunrise, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Series: Mad Men, Breaking Bad, House, The Mentalist, Weeds, Man Vs Wild.

Books: From the oldies, I'll go with writers such as Henry Miller, Charles Bukowski, Ernest Hemingway, Dostoevsky, to name but a few. From the new ones, too many to mention!
