À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

To learn Euskara fluently

ABOUT ME

I'm intellectually-driven, always searching for new knowledge and information that will keep me intrigued. I'm extremely ambitious and I am a very persistent and diligent person. People say that I am direct, sensitive, and honest.

After finishing college at Virginia Military Institute, where I am currently a rising senior I would either like to pursue a career as a Marine Corps officer and after, either with the FBI or at Mckinsey and Company as a management consultant, or go to graduate school.

I enjoy reading and writing, watching films, listening to music, bicycling with friends, and just surfing as much as possible. I also enjoy going on hikes. Given I live in Southern California, much of this is at my disposal instantaneously.

PHILOSOPHY

“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.”
― Oscar Wilde

I thoroughly believe in the sometimes cliché statement of living life to the fullest, and living in the present. I view life as a grandiose amusement park that is apt and capable of catering to all my needs and desires. I live in my life in such a way that gives me the chance and opportunity to learn as much as possible, expand my horizons, and question my existence and the existence of everything around me incessantly. To me, living is not complete without constant and interminable interrogation of the beauty and creation which is existent in front of our eyes. Life is a venture in which we must seek out the greatest extents and boundaries, and surpass them so as to do the unthinkable and overcome the insurmountable.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just joined the Couch Surfing network, and as I am new, I will be busy updating my profile from time to time, with the endeavor of articulating who I am, what I want out of this website, and what I can offer to others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been browsing a few different profiles, especially in Spain, given that I am desirous to travel to Spain this summer in August, perhaps.

visited 12 states (5.33%)Create your own visited map of The World or another interesting project

Centres d'intérêt

I am really interested in languages, philosophy, music, traveling, mythology, sports, and history. I enjoy skiing, surfing, bicycling, and swimming. I speak Spanish, Portuguese, English, and a bit of Euskara ( I'm naturally gifted linguistically).

I graduated high school in 2011, and I am currently attending Virginia Military Institute, which is one of America's prestigious senior military colleges. Going to VMI affords me the option, if I so desire, to commission in the military, or not. If i do commission in the military, I have many time a thought in allying myself with the United States Marine Corps, or maybe the United States Coast Guard.

I enjoy meeting new, interesting, and intellectual people that can offer me good conversation, intellectual stimulation, and interesting anecdotes and experiences that will enrich me as a person.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

When I lived in Spain (2008-2009) and I realized after 5 months that I was understanding everything without having to try anymore; I was sitting in Lengua and I was taking notes just as if I would in a high school class in California, USA.

Another experience that left me awestruck was when I realized how much I loved extreme sports and adrenaline. I experienced this through skiing (I have skied since I was 4), and i try to go on the most difficult slopes because I love the challenge.
