About Me

I'm a fun-loving guy. I like nature trips. I especially enjoy solo traveling, but I wouldn't mind having a travel companion from time to time. I love exploring places that only a few have visited.

I'm not fond of alcohol, but I do enjoy a beer or two. I love singing and reading books.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined CS in 2013 with the intention of meeting new friends and learning from different cultures. Couchsurfing allowed to change the way I see the world. It gave me a new appreciation to the diversity of culture and personalities.

I try to join CS activities locally when time permits and wherever I'm travelling.

I moved to Manila and settled in Quezon City in 2015 and have not hosted or stayed at a hosts place since then. Work has taken up most of my time since then but I still do a lot of weekend travels.

UPDATE: February 2020, I am now back in Cebu and I’m open to host again during weekends!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - not picky but I like Jazz, Ballads and songs from the Musicals (I adore Dear Evan Hansen). My playlist is a mix of music from Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Ben Platt, Jason Mraz and Michael Buble.

Books - I'm a kid at heart so I enjoy fantasy books like Harry Potter, the Shadowhunter Chronicles, and other young adult books.

Movies - Similarly with books, I like fantasy movies. I also like animated films and science fiction movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Completing my 2014 Weekend Project which is basically getting out of the house every weekend and exploring a new place. I did mostly beaches and islands during this year.

My 2015 Weekend Project (tagged as #2015LaagniPat) is to visit as many waterfalls as I can! I finished this with 81 waterfalls!

Teach, Learn, Share

If you meet up with me, I can help you with your travel itinerary in Cebu and/or the Philippines, in general.

I would like to learn some tidbits about your country and language. Teach me how to count in your language!

I am also interested in conversations about philosophy, religious facts and tidbits (for educational purposes never for debate), music and history.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If time and ingredients permit, I can cook my Filipino sinigang (you can look it up!)
