One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most "breathtaking" things I have done was the ascent of the volcano Barú in Panamá. It was a nightly 8hour hike up to 3745m with a gradient of 70% and an average temperature of 8°C. The last hour there was just a lifeless cover of mine left - without any thoughts or feelings. I had no idea why we were doing this actually. I was completely dead ! But when we were finally standing on the top of the volcano, watching the sun rising up over the Atlantic which iluminated the djungle beneath and the Pacific Ocean on the other side, my blood came back and I was suddenly filled with a strange, overwhelming feeling of plenty happiness.
