About Me

Current Mission:

Taking a sabbatical between jobs. Safely bicycling across the country.

ABOUT ME

Fun and free spirited. I am very active, yet enjoy good food, dancing and learning.

I've worked on farms throughout the US, use to run, but now cycle more.

I love to read books, but often get stuck on technology as it supplies my living expenses. A conversation which makes both obsolete is always best.

I'd rather be outside than anywhere else. Favorite colors are light blue and dark green, specifically against each other.

Learning is important for me. Being good to others and the earth as well. I am fiercely independent, but know the pleasure of good company.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the personal experience of learning about a location from another's experience. Although I strive to explore an area, CSers share an excitement in their voice. Learning from others is special.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Stayed with Juniper in Seattle and John in Erie. Had a great experience with both. Not yet hosted, but interested.

Interests

In free time I read, or work on business plans. I love to work outside.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I fall asleep in most but I love having a story told to me with beautiful images.

Music: Whatever invokes spontaneous dancing. I listen to the words, but the beat affects my body. I have a tapping habit when listening to good tunes. I am currently a DJ for weddings.

Books:
While WWOOFing in Portland, I worked at a comic shop and fell in love with the stories. Yet, my main love has been non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Proudest moment: wining an award in high school for being a "woman for others".

I can't compete with the travels of so many other CSers. One day, I too will have been and seen amazing places.

For now, I've hiked mountains, ran a marathon, planted a seed and helped it grow, .

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: respect, acceptance, looking for the good in others, and supporting the underdogs!

Learn: whatever you are passionate about. Besides living my life for others, I would love to learn languages. 2 more is my goal. Good toasts. What makes cities unique/ different. And in turn how geography affects viewpoint.

Share: tea, smiles, cleanliness, hugs, experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, understanding, listening, fun, food, risks and encouragement to overcome fears.

Countries I’ve Visited

Aruba, Curaçao, Italy, Spain
