ABOUT US

I am originally born in Munich and speak German, but grew up in California. I am very much into fitness, cardio, yoga, and weightlifting, I love beautiful gardens, lush, green, and watery places. I study and teach jyotish.

Boons is a refugee from Laos who also grew up in California. He speaks Lao, loves basketball, skateboarding, surfing, and snowboarding. He also collects Volkswagen buses.

We both work in environmental protection and climate change/air quality control. We try our best to open our doors to you or to our friends in different parts of California (LA, SF) in exchange for you hosting us. As guests, we are very clean, respectful, open-minded, and are happy to spend time together or leave you privacy, as you wish. We are happy to help clean or cook.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have traveled Germany, Italy, France, Czech Republic, Austria, and Portugal by train, bicycle (across borders!), plane, bus, and car. We have made many friends, had great experiences going out, spending time together, seeing new things, and would like to continue to do so.

We've hosted a few surfers in VW vans and homes around Sacramento, San Francisco, and Southern California.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have met some very generous and interesting people who have joined us at music concerts, beaches, and dinners. We are really glad to have returned the favor. I personally loved couchsurfing from one host to another as I bicycled down northern Germany. Beautifully scenic. We both conquered the Rhine and crossed, bicycling, from Germany over the border into France. We have made friends through coushsurfing who we still keep in touch with to this day, many years later.

I have accidentally bicycled on the German Autobahn in Bavaria, and made it out alive.

We've both lived in a VW Winnebago Rialta, for about two years. Now we have a home with a really sweet cat.

I have learned that couch surfing can be done whether you can spend time with your host/surfer or not. I have met some of the most generous people through couch surfing when at first I was a little nervous and skeptical.

Also, I have made long-term friends through couch surfing.

I can teach you about jyotish (vedic astrology), and I enjoy going on jogs with others. Boons can teach you about surfing, volkswagen buses, and thai cooking.
