CURRENT MISSION
See the world.
ABOUT ME
I am an easy-going and social person from Sweden but right now living in Berlin.
PHILOSOPHY
"How could youths better learn to live than by at once trying the experiment of living." - Henry David Thoreau (Walden)
Life is short and it will end at some point, so pushing things into the future might not be possible. I try to remind myself as often as possible about this so as to make sure to live today.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I have a space that allows for me to host couchsurfers I am happy to do so.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed four times. The first time was when I was in Prague. I stayed for one night only and slept on the kitchen sofa of a Russian girl who studied in the city. It was a far greater experience than checking in at a hotel, I saw much more of the city and met somebody I wouldn't have met otherwise. I guess that is what I like about couchsurfing - how it enables you to connect with people from all over the world with whose paths mine would otherwise never have crossed.
The second time I cajoled my best friend into couchsurfing rather than checking in at a motel when we went on a roadtrip to Orlando. We stayed with the loveliest couple and I managed to turn around my very sceptical friend to the idea of couchsurfing.
While travelling on my own through Iceland I enjoyed the hospitality and great company of other couchsurfers in Reykjavik and Akureyri.
Since then I have had four wonderful surfers staying at my apartment in Berlin. If my schedule was not as busy and my apartment was bigger, I would be doing this more often!
Interests
I enjoy travelling, film, photography, reading, people who are passionate about something, dancing all day and all night long, chatting over a glass of wine/a beer, meeting with friends and adventures.

Teach, Learn, Share
Pedagogy is not my strongest side, but I'd like to improve and become better at sharing my knowledge with other people. I'm good with languages and would happily supply you with the expressions that might come in handy as you plan a trip to Sweden and Europe. I am also happy to share recommendations for books, films, restaurants in the city where I live, the best bars, my favorite music, and great spots for a quiet moment.
