ABOUT ME

Hello! We are Robert and Michelle Smith, and we live in Atlanta, GA. We love music, art (especially printmaking), and traveling. Michelle also enjoys libraries, books, the ocean, and is studying to become an art conservator. Robert enjoys eating delicious foods, riding bicycles and mopeds & listening to live music as much as possible. We look forward to having our own place where we can host surfers, but for now we would love to fix you some tea.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently we only participate as surfers. Our present living situation does not allow for hosting but we hope to change that within the next year! For now contact us if you will be in the area and we can meet up for coffee!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our first and only CS experience was staying with Mary Hicken in Toronto for 3 nights. We were taking our first trip to Canada and wanted to spend some time in the city. We had considered staying in a hostel, but decided to look into CouchSurfing first and we are so glad we did! We had a wonderful time staying at Mary's apartment. She gave us a tour of her neighborhood and helped us find where we wanted to go. We can't imagine a better first experience, and look forward to more like it!

Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Michelle have seen the tip of Africa, where the oceans meet. Robert took a full U.S. road trip in his 33-year-old Honda Civic Wagon.

Teach, Learn, Share

We know how to screen print and do this in our home. Michelle knows how to crochet, spin yarn, bind books, and make quilts. Robert can play drums and works full-time as an elementary school Art teacher. We both know how to sew, and we have also both had our fair share of art history classes. We would both like to learn to play banjo.
