I'm a listener. I love hearing tales of everyone's adventures and seeing the glisten in their eyes when they're recalling all the details. I enjoying trying new restaurants and exploring new parts of the city. My jokes generally involve sarcasm - hope that's cool! :P - Amanda

I'm a novice traveler at best, but eager to see the world beyond the American Midwest. I'm a gamer, love to play board/card/video anything. My favorite thing is to make Amanda snort when she laughs. - Andrew

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've hosted a couple times and really enjoy meeting the travelers or just being able to help someone who needs a place to rest.

We recently left the US to backpack Europe and Asia, so we also aim to surf. The experience sounds priceless, for lack of a better term, and we'd love to hang out with new people.

I've had a couple surfers and have really enjoyed the opportunity to meet them and hear about their lives and perspectives.

I love to travel and see the world, obviously. I'm into animation, game development, drawing, watching movies, discussing life into late hours of the night, playing video and board games, attending steampunk events, renfaires.. etc etc. - Amanda

I'm a media junkie when at home with movies, games, music and pop-culture. I really like learning and teaching people new games, especially board games, but ultimately I'm a go-with-the-flow kind of person. -Andrew

Music: Lots of different things, but a good indicator is in the last year we have seen live in concert: Jason Mraz/Christina Perri, Fun., Maroon 5/Owl City/Neon Trees, Muse, and Mumford & Sons/Of Monsters and Men.

Books: Sword of Truth Series, Temeraire Series, Jurassic Park, LOTR, Game of Thrones, Ender's Game, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

I went Scuba Diving in Koh Tao and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It's a whole different world underneath the ocean. - Amanda

This trip that we are currently on, making our way from the US and traveling east until we get back, is easily the most exciting thing I've done. Can't wait to see what happens next! -Andrew
