About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the world around me, learning all that I can along the way.

ABOUT ME

Coen Brothers movies, Bob Dylan, adventuring, and the occasional board game :)

PHILOSOPHY

Learn what you can. See what you can. Help who you can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If I surf at your house, know that I aim to treat you and your home with the same amount of respect I give myself and my own. I make it a point to leave a place the same way I found it, and will abide by any house rules to the best of my abilities. Usually I travel with a friend, so I won't crash expecting you to drop everything to pal around (though you are of course welcome chill if you want to)! All I ask from my host is a quick meet and greet, and few hot-spot suggestions. After that, I'll probably spend most of my stay exploring whichever city I end up in, looking our for an adventure or two. I don't smoke, but i'm not bothered by it either. I'm also not allergic to animals, so you most likely won't have to worry about putting the pets up!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a bit of a Couch surfing baby. I've surfed once in Nashville, but really the extent of it. Looking forward to meeting more awesome people and seeing more

Interests

I'm no good at this formatting thing. I'm here's a list of some of my interests with brief descriptions:

Movies,
I've always been a bit of a movie buff. Sure I can appreciate the classics: Kubrick is always fun, and I dig the old Universal Studios monster movies. But I'd be lying if I said most of my favorites weren't a bit cleche'.

Running:
Running has always been my favorite form of exercise. I have completed many 5Ks, a 10K, and am working on my first half-marathon now! (though you wouldn't think it by the look of me).

Retro Video Games:
I'm a big fan of old school, pre-Xbox video games. My favorites are probably on the Super Nintendo, Sony Playstation, and N64. If you have a Nintendo Wii lying around, I can show you how to crack it to play emulated games if you're into that (which is how I play most of mine).

Travel:
I truly believe that our lives aren't complete without exploring the world around us. We all live in a global community, and I am committed to see all i can of that community whenever I can! I only wish I had the chance to travel more often.

Board games:
If you have Settlers of Catan at yourplace, and I surf there, then it's on.

I'm sure there's more I could cook up, but you get the gist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I honestly can't say i've done anything too amazing as of yet. I've seen some great sights, met some incredible people, had some facinating experiences, but I myself can't really claim to have done anything too "amazing".

I suppose I learned how to drive stick shift recently, which, considering how awful I am at it, I consider a personal miracle. ^_^

On second though, I recently saw Mumford & Sons, Dawes, Jim James from My Morning Jacket, Hozie, War on Drugs, and Ed Helms play an angelic cover of the Beatles', "I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends". Not something I did, per say, but was an amazing experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I've worked in I.T. for a while, so if you are having any computer problems, or want some tips, I can help you the best I can! Can also teach you some basic piano, or give you a crash course on any number of basic programming languages.
