ABOUT ME

We're Angie & Greg Rose. We live in Austin, surrounded by a large group of close friends and family. We've been together for about 20 years and have spent those years dreaming of road trips, foreign adventures, sailing around the world, hiking the AP, and other various adventures involving whatever was the "trip de jour." Finally, we decided to just DO IT. But CHEAPLY. So we took about a year to prepare for a road trip around the U.S. We bought a tiny camper van, quit our jobs, broke the news to the aforementioned friends & family, and took off. With our dog, about $75/day, and a very vague plan, we've managed to survive the first 6 months of the trip. Wine helps..... Hopefully, we'll get in another 7 months before the money runs out.

PHILOSOPHY

Our philosophy has changed a bit in the last year or so. We used to be all "work, work, work, make money," but now we're more "relax, live life each day, purge the unnecessary."

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We're new to CS, but have had amazing experiences meeting and staying with people during our trip so far. People have invited us into their homes and shown us such hospitality....the kind that you don't think exists anymore. It's been the best part of the trip!

Obviously, we love to travel. Greg is a mechanical genius and can fix anything (thank goodness, b/c that really comes in in handy when you're on the road!). He also knows all about any car or motorcycle that was made before cars got all computerized. I love movies and cooking. And we both love hiking and meeting new people.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A few years ago, we hiked to the top of Petit Piton in Saint Lucia....and seriously thought we were going to die. We were completely unprepared for such a hard hike, but it was TOTALLY worth it!
