About Me

Ola bom dia! Tudo bem? Yes, from Holland, but living since July17 in Portugal. The weather, food and nature keeps me here. Since I was born in '85 I always knew I was an adventurer, exploring things. Being 33 exploring is still in my blood and why not use the help of a local, who knows best what to explore, feel and experience in his or her own city :) I've couchsurfing just once to be honoust, but why not give it another shot. Looking for a positive and funny guy> You can couch me in ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couches also need warmth...

Interests

As in passion: traveling, seeing the world, experiencing new things every single day.
As in interests: sports, football, dj, all kind of music (dance festivals, not psy-trance por favor), going to theaters, stand up comedy, hiking in the mountains, extreme sports (rafting, abseiling, ATB, etc.)
As in doing while traveling: meeting people, seeing other cultures.

I'm not really a museumtype, though museums about war or prisonstyle I find very interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music almost everything, I stick to the travel books and humorous novels / love watching movies (with Shawshank Redemption and Les Intouchables as personal favorites)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling with just local transport from Zanzibar - Mombasa, Kenya was just amazing. Got stuck on fishing boat halfway and without food/water in the middle of the sea, coz we run out of gasoline. No fun at all, but a good ol' story after all.

Climbing Huayna Potosi. What a climb, up to 6km altitude. When we finally got at te top, there was zero view. 10 minutes strawl down for 3 hours, while being exhausted.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I can tell you a couple of stories about being robbed, getting into bad situations and getting threatened in Capetown's KFC. And of course about fun travelstuff! :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Germany, Kenya, Latvia, Lithuania, Malawi, Malaysia, Namibia, Netherlands, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, Zambia
