ABOUT ME

I'm curious about the world and want to learn more about it. I like developing meaningful relationships with people that can last for many years. I'm not simple to understand - I've known myself for 28 years and still learn new things everyday. Things that make me smile are: a good song, good food, letters from friends, travelling, spending time with my family, and learning new things.

I live a healthy lifestyle. I have an internal locus of control and like to accomplish things but I like to have moments in my life that let me experience freedom from my responsibilities. These are the moments in which I explore the world!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to spread the word about CS to my friends who are interested in cultural exchange and travel. I only recently found out about this site and I really like it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed 2 couches in Kiev in March 2011. It was my first experience and it was the best decision I could have made. I'm sure there's no better way to get a true look at life and culture in another country than to stay with someone from that country.

Interests

I love music. Rock is my favorite but I also like techno, hip-hop, jazz, blues, and pop. I have played the guitar for 10 years and have been in a band for 8 years. We played locally around the Atlanta area. I like riding my road bike in the spring, summer, and fall. I love working out with weights all year. I enjoy reading, watching movies, and I always want to learn something new.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen myself change over the years from an introvert to an extrovert who is curious about the world and willing to take risks to explore it, while still knowing how to enjoy the introverted life at times when it's needed. I've managed to find a nice balance.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to share my thoughts about why certain things in America are the way they are. I've heard that people from other countries are curious about America and may have formed some opinions about this country and I want to learn about those opinions and maybe offer some interesting insights from a historical and geographical standpoint. I would also love to share the wonderful music of Thin Lizzy, Rush, and Gary Moore with anyone who is not familiar with it.
