About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To keep learning about anything and everything, and do my best to keep an open mind through it all.

ABOUT ME

I have been living in Madison for just over a year and continue to find more things that I love about it. It's a fantastic city with interested history, interesting people, and a lot of activities. I got my degree in Computer Engineering, and I have been working as a programmer since.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that knowledge comes in many forms, trial and error, books, other people, etc. All these forms are of some value if you take a moment to think about them, and are willing to participate with them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have recently purchased my first house and have plenty of room for people to come stay. I would love to host anyone who is looking to come explore Madison for whatever reason.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a great experience surfing with a couple in Hamburg Germany that showed us the town, joined us for lunch, and shared their lives with us. I hope to have many more experiences just as fantastic, both with hosting and future surfing.

Interests

Computers, skydiving, scuba diving, motorcycles, books, technology, skiing, and trying new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: pretty much anything on the radio

Movies: I love movies of all kind, but I prefer dramas. Some of my favorites are "Garden State", "American Beauty", "A River Runs Through It"

Books: I read mostly technical books to expand my knowledge for my field as well as my interests. For entertainment however I like to read fantasy novels such as the Drizzt series by R.A. Salvatore.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There is a lake on the top of mount Harvard above Beuna Vista in Colorado. The lake sits at around 13,000 feet, and contains trout which feed off tiny shrimp which are all over the bottom of the lake. The trout is so fresh and tender that it melts away as you eat it giving an almost butter texture with the richest trout flavor I've ever had. Eating that kind of meal sitting atop one of the most beautiful mountains was what I would define as awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a great deal about computers. I am mediocre at web design and graphics. However I more than make up for it in my programming and hardware knowledge. Not to mention I have worked computer/server repair and maintenance for 5 years.
