ABOUT ME

Is it just me, or is it really hard to write about yourself? I'm introverted but try make an effort to get out once in a while. Usually I am a calm and quite person who prefers small groups to big ones. I like talking to people that know about things that I don't, I love learning something I never new before. It makes the world seem even bigger.
I love vegetables and beer, being outside, and getting lost in old novels. I love when things you never expected happen, and that feeling that life is really beautiful in that moment. I perpetually dream of travel and I pretend I can write well. Also I have been vegetarian for basically ever.

Music, Movies, and Books

For music: Devendra Banhart, Sleater-Kinny, old Modest Mouse, Beach house, Beirut, Animal collective, Okkervill river, The Knife, Neutral milk hotel.. and then some. Also I really like music from India, Korea, the Middle East, anything with a sound foreign and pleasing to my ear.
For movies: I love Steve Martin, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Clue the Movie, and anything from the 1940's, also movies that are so bad they circle around to become good again.
For books: I tend to go through phases; Science writing, Non fiction, Classic Literature, Biographies. Anything by Margaret Atwood: she is my hero.
