Travel is pretty much always on my mind--I start planning my next trip almost as soon as I return from the current one. I love the feeling of exploring places that are challenging to me in some way...whether it's due to language (Turkey) or terrain (the Sahara.)

I like to connect with people on my travels. Making new friends abroad is an amazing feeling, and I think it's one of the best ways to truly learn about a country. I'm not typically looking for someone to host me :)

I have trekked the Sahara with Bedouin nomads. This was a life-changing moment for me. I might go back one day, but there are so many other awe-inspiring locations to see first.
