'Ohhhhhh, that explains why you're so friendly!' [barista I made friends with somewhere along the way].

Apparently I am friendly! I spend my time driving through America, making friends and exploring. If something is SUPER inspiring [or I feel inspired in general], I write about it at 'thisiscorley.tumblr.com'. If something exists, I generally photograph it [especially you, I hope that's ok!].

Seriously though, I WILL photograph you. I started travelling when I found out that Black Rebel Motorcycle Club was playing a festival in Austin, Texas. I drove there with four mountain bikes strapped to the back of my truck [ok, ok it's an SUV not a truck]. Two bikes for my buddy, and two for me [they do have different purposes, I assure you]. Of course it was April when we went, and Colorado and New Mexico both had too much snow where we wanted to ride [boooooooo].

Anyway, that was 2013, and since then I've taken every opportunity to go somewhere. I have only left North America once so far [I went to Jamaica- it was to a resort, which weirded the fuck out of me- it was for a wedding though I went along expense paid to take photos for my brothers best friend... but I made friends with the staff and that was the coolest part!]

So the coolest part about travelling through America for me- is that everyone seems to want to check it out, so not only do I get to meet Americans, but I have met people from all over the world! I really enjoy driving, and I do a lot of sleeping in my truck, picking up hitchikers [if i'm feelin the proper vibe from them], and there has been a number of times where I have made friends in hostels who've jumped in and joined me for a distance [or music festival, I once left a music festival with my truck right jammed with people]!

I am currently on a solo trip through America, sitting in a coffee shop waiting to meet a friend who's couch I once surfed. I used to work up in Northern Canada- two weeks on, two weeks off, so I gave up my apartment since when I was working I was given room and board- and just travelled on my days off. Now I am unemployed, homeless, and travelling America until my small bit of money runs out. Then I guess maybe I'll go teach english in South Korea or something cool!

I am excited to meet everyone along the way, hear your stories and hopefully photograph you ;)

Mostly to meet people! Even if you don't have a couch for me, that's ok! I want to see your face and hear your stories, and if you'll let me I'll take a great photo of you and put it on my blog! [you can have a copy too :) ]

Let's be real here. I love Harry Potter. Through and through. Since I read those I can hardly focus on anything else enough to get through it- though I'm giving Jack Kerouac an honest go.

I'm into Psychadelic rock, a bit of grungy rock and roll, and I'll do anything that lets me see Arctic Monkeys again [i did drive to LA to see them in August- and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club was opening!]

I guess driving across the continent by myself could count? I mean, I was travelling with some Brasilian friends of mine, drove down the west coast and then they went their own way from Los Angeles [it was planned], and I had to get back to Calgary to catch a flight two days later!

I've also been the solo driver on a few other trips through the states, and across western Canada a few times- as far as about New Orleans, but with company it's hardly a job [i love driving!].
