Movies : whatever sets a lasting impression. Dream (Kurosawa), Siberiade (Kontchalovsky), among many others.
Series : Halt and Catch Fire, Masters of Sex, The Americans, True Detective, Trust, The West Wing.
Books : I don't read much fiction - I rather like movies or series for that.
Saint-Exupery is my main philosophical influence - mostly for his posthumous "Citadelle" (The Wisdom of the Sands)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Changing plans all of a sudden, going down the train from Agra to Varanasi, arriving in Rishikesh in the middle of the night, and climbing the Chandrashila Peak at nighttime a day later to witness the sunrise on the Himalayas.
You know you did the right choice when you are able to remember every second of your trip.
