My name is Tom and I am currently living in Richmond, CA. Originally from Seattle. I love singing, music, language, grammar, eating and cooking good vegetarian food, nature, and getting to know new people! I like people who are different, kind of strange, people who will look you in the eye and tell you how they really feel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So that I can meet new awesome people from around the world! And because I think this is usually a more pleasant experience than staying in a loud hostel with drunk people or spending a bunch of money on a hotel.

I think it's important to maintain real, human connection with people in a world where more and more people are obsessed with screens, staring at their smartphone right before they go to bed and right when they wake up. And I think that Couchsurfing is a platform that brings a lot of like-minded people together; artistic people, different people, "weird" people. And those are my favorite kind of people!
