Howdy!

I am a first year graduate student at UCSB living outside of Maryland for the first time. I am writing this memo while sitting on an air mattress in my Americore friend's newly unfurnished house in San Jose. I love to travel and this three-week road trip across the USA has been great.

I am a very outgoing and positive person who enjoys just about everything from tinkering with open source electronics to rock climbing. While I am usually busy studying and working as a graduate student, I find time to work on projects, both old and new. I am flexible, accommodating, and seek out others who want to build a network of friends and experiences!

I am on couchsurfing because, while it is nice to find a place to stay in a pinch, I am a firm believer that meeting new people in organic scenarios is the best way to learn about people, new cultures, and where the next best place to stay may be.
