About Me

I'm a big fan of world history and I also love meeting people.
Recently finished a programming course and I've been working on some videogame projects for a few years now.
Trying to figure out what would be the most fun to do next and how to grow and appreciate life more .

Most interesting thing I've been learning about is the protestant reformation from a historian Will Durant, and it really shocked me how much of an effect it had on the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to see more of the world, and I'd also like to meet locals in the area's I visit. I did farm hopping when I was younger and was really moved by that experience and found that when you actually get to meet the people in the places you travel to you know more about that area.

Its kind of weird to say, but traveling can be about the people you meet in the place not just the place, cause if its just the place then its just scenery right?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently built a library for a middle school in my hometown.
it was a super rewarding experience to organize the system, catalog the books and work with the students. The older boys and I got along really well.

It was also an interesting job in that Library's are more political then I thought. For example: I had a parent want to remove a book that taught about queer identity and we started a nice dialog about it (I didn't remove the book, I'm super against banning books). That book wasn't in its proper section, so I resorted it. I was super grateful the school I worked for wanted to be knowledge inclusive. We had books on lots of various topics and treated each on with respect.

I really enjoyed that job quite a bit.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd be happy to share with people I stay with the projects I've been working on when it relates to game design and 3D modeling and the like.

I'm currently learning how to program and have been throwing tons and tons of hours and learning all sorts of things, some of it makes me feel crazy though! haha.
But some of the best things we could share is stories right?
I'm sort of in phase in my life where I want to listen and learn how other people see things, and view the world

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd be happy to cook for hosts if they would like to exchange recipes.
If we got some ingredients I could make us my families traditional American pies with handmade crusts. My mother and I have spent years making pies together during Christmas and thanksgiving (and when I want to make pies) and I think they are pretty good!
