Hello! I'm a 30 year old guy from the US trying to find his place in the world, and slowly figuring out who I am by getting lost in my travels. I'm a musician (guitarist, singer/songwriter), dancer (swing dancer, but enjoy Latin too), educator (I taught high school for a few years! Science/Math), and an extroverted goofball:) I love people, and I find purpose in helping others and being a light to those around me. I really enjoy learning new skills and getting out of my comfort zone, even if it sparks my anxiety a bit. I'm very happy to be out in nature hiking up a mountain (I'm a huge hiker), or happy to be having a drink with friends in the city at night. I also love video games (I literally have every console haha) and exploring the world around me, so hopefully we can connect! I'm down for a chill time or an adventure, very easy going 😊

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to connect more with others from various places and learn more of what it's like to live in the places I'm visiting. I tend to stay at hostels or airbnbs, and these are great and fantastic, but I tend to get a skewed and more-so touristy viewpoint of the places I visit. Couchsurfing with a local and getting to chat and see the places and the world through their lens would be a welcome experience, and help grow my own character :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love folk, blues, and indie music. Think John Mayer, James Taylor, Norah Jones, Jim Croce, Jack Johnson, and other artists like that. I don't really watch many movies or read books, but I do like anime like Studio Ghibli and enjoy textbooks because I'm a nerd :p

I've gotten to travel and compete in dance and also do gigs as a musician. Loved every minute of it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an educator and have taught high school, music, and dance. I'm also a lifelong learner and constantly believe in challenging myself to learn more things. I'm happy to share anything I know or any of my skills with a mutual exchange of knowledge or skills!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share any of my skills (music, dance, education, science/math, other random things), help them around with tasks, and provide good company for whatever their energy level is. If you want someone who can sit down with a cup of tea or go out for a hike/walk and talk about life, sign me up. If you want someone who can go out for a drink and join you for an adventure, absolutely. If you want someone to join with daily tasks and enjoy company with, I'm your guy. I love being around people, regardless of the activity.
