About Me

Hi there 👋

I'm Thomas, a criminal law student who will begin training as a lawyer in January 2026. I enjoy literature, art, and also sports to stay in good physical shape.
I'm a very curious person, and I'm never afraid to learn in a variety of fields ;)

What do I love most of all? Traveling, to discover new landscapes and new cultures.
Human connection is very important to me — my friends and family are a great source of motivation in my life.

I'm a very sociable person, and I never hesitate to help when needed. I learn and adapt quickly, so don't hesitate with me 🙌
Respect for others and their culture is also a core value to me — it's essential to always keep an open mind!

I'm constantly looking to step out of my comfort zone and try new things (except bungee jumping — I’m afraid of heights!). I'm always persistent and never give up.

I want to grow through these experiences and never stop pushing myself throughout my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm really looking forward to starting this new experience. More than anything, I want to discover the world and meet new people so we can share our cultures together.

We have so much to exchange — the way we think, speak, see the world... I'm always up for deep conversations about life, adventures, and stories over a good meal 🍲

These encounters will allow me to create unforgettable memories and friendships that will last forever.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm currently in my Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings books era : these tales inspire me since I was a child. I'm always eager to discover extraordinary adventures, so now is the perfect time to come to New-Zealand !

When it comes to music, the choice is a bit more difficult. I'm a big fan of every type of music ; I really enjoy listening to pop music and rap, which are the most popular styles in France. However, my favorite music genre has to be movie scores, which I often associate with experiences I’ve had and meaningful moments in my life.

Finally, I have to admit that I’m a big fan of Christopher Nolan’s movies. They always transport me to a fascinating world, and you can be sure that I stay 100% focused on every detail so I don’t miss a single bit of the story!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few months ago, a close childhood friend and I set off for the Italian Alps for a spontaneous hiking trip. We ran into a few challenges and at times we genuinely thought we might not make it — especially while descending a mountain in the rain on a tricky trail.
But we managed to pull through, and in the end, our improvised route was full of wonders!

We also met some locals and fellow hikers along the way, and were able to exchange tips and stories — it was truly an unforgettable experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I learned to play the piano when I was a kid, and a few years ago I picked it back up on my own so I could play my favorite pieces at my own pace.

I also know how to dance rock 'n' roll — I could even teach you a few dance moves!

I may not be Gordon Ramsay when I'm in the kitchen (which can be both pleasant and worrying at the same time), but I do alright in Paris and I'm always up for trying out new recipes (at your own risk 😜).

I want to share the best of French culture. I can help you out, cook meals for you, and find fun activities for us to do together!
