Like everyone here i guess : to share and discover cultures, learn from others and to party when you are ready for !

I did a bicycle trip from Paris to London with a friend, some years ago. We were hosted by so different, interesting and open-minded persons from tiny villages durig this trip that the days in Paris and London were the less interestings in our trip. Conclusion : no matter the city or the location, it's the meetings which give all the magic memories in travel :)
