I'm an Aussie guy currently living and working in Canada on a working holiday visa, as so many of us are, and I'll soon be on the road hoping to make it from Vancouver to Halifax, in the seat of a motorbike.
I came to Canada in an attempt to find work on the railway (specifically as a conductor) because it is next to impossible back home, but have come to realise that I'd rather spend this part of my life travelling. So I'm falling on my second, more attractive plan, which is to clear the country on two wheels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet people and get a good conversation going.
Hotels and motels are of course not great places to do that and I've even found that some hostels aren't very communal either.
I think that people who are willing to open their homes to travellers must be pretty trusting and honest, and I like to meet people like that.
