About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make the world an awesomer place

ABOUT ME

Awesomeness and fun are my motto! I'm a frenchman who had the chance to live in a few places in the world before (Spain, UK, Chile, and currently China) and to see much more!

After getting involved in the couchsurfing community in Beijing where I have a few friends, and after reading Kerouac's On The Road this summer, I realized couchsurfing was the way to go!

PHILOSOPHY

"Take wrong turns. Talk to strangers. Open unmarked doors. And if you see a group of people in a field, go find out what they are doing. Do things without always knowing how they will turn out. You are curious and smart and bored, and all you see is the choice between working hard and slacking off. There are so many adventures that you miss because you are waiting to think of a plan. To find them, look for tiny interesting choices. And remember that you are always making up the future as you go." (from Randall Munroe, but I think it pretty much sums it up)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can host couchsurfers in Beijing from the beginning of October 2012, in Sanyuanqiao area (North East of Beijing, not very close but not far from the central area, very well connected to the center with metro and to the airport with airport expressway).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Participated to a lot of events in Beijing and Paris!

Interests

Reading (a lot), photography, modern art in general, meeting random people in random places

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: anything from Antonioni, anything with Marilyn Monroe, a lot of Godard stuff and Blade Runner!
Music: Nicolas Jaar, Cocorosie, Phoenix, Cut Copy, and many others...
Books: pretty much anything which I get my hands on. Proust, Celine, Thomas Mann, Doestoeivesky, Tolstoi, Hayek, Zygmunt Baumann, Camus, Kerouac, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing is everywhere

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching and sharing languages. I lived in UK, Chile, Spain and currently in China and I'm a native french speaker.

I can also teach a few French cooking tricks to make anything you bake absolutely "delicieux" (baking is awesome)
