ABOUT ME

Hi there,

Nice to meet you, Thomas, 25, from the lovely tiny Belgium. I am currently spending one year in Toronto, I can say that it's an amazing dream coming true.

I like to travel and the overwhelming pleasure I feel when I see with my own eyes what the world has to offer. I just completed translation studies in Brussels and I wanted to use my knowledge in another country, far away, to live something new, fresh, unique and unforgettable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I would like to organize a lot of trips this year, as I have the chance to stay in North America for at least one year. To fully seize that opportunity, I could use some help from big-hearted travellers who would agree to let me crash on their couch for some time during my globetrotting.

And I would be more than happy to return the favour, of course. It's still in progress but it could be fun! I luckily found a great and big room, I have an extra couch. It's a roommate house, it's not the Hilton, but I could be good enough to give a hand to dauntless and amazing travelers!

Interests

Beer Pong? Common things, really. Parties, music, parties and music together. Movies, TV shows, especially TV shows, oh God, I'm so addicted to TV shows. Music again, I had played the piano for seven years. Every now and then, I tried to be an amazing guitarist but I kind of suck. Oh, and gigs, and festivals. Lots of good ones in Belgium, trust me. New things in general, like shinny in the great Nation of Hockey, I love watching hockey. Voilà! Ow, did I mention parties?

Oh, come on, if I list everything I like here, what are we gonna talk about when we met? I love TV shows, complicated as well as stupid teenager movies, lots of kinds of music, books from time to time, well, I'm not picky, really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, pretty much anything I discovered abroad was worth it, but sipping a cocktail in an ice glass in an ice bar in Oslo was pretty great. Visiting Gibraltar with free monkeys in the streets and the mix up between the Spanish beaches and the English history was pretty amazing too. Recently, I had the chance to feel (not see, feel) the Niagara Falls, to attend to an ice-skating race organized by RedBull and to make one of my dreams come true by visiting New-York for New Year's Eve, and walking in Times Square at 4:00 AM, almost alone in the huge and bright streets, priceless.
