COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed all the nooks and crannies of the great state of Texas. Most recently, I did some couchsurfing in Rio and São Paulo, Brazil.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, particularly soul, funk, hip hop, afrobeat, reggae, Latin, brazilian, etc...I host the Afro-boogaloo Soul Revue on KVRX and write about music for the Austin Chronicle, Go2 Media and Living Blues magazine.

Damn I need to read more good books. I think grad school makes you dumber...don't believe the hype. The last good book I read was "What is the What" by David Eggers. In fact, I was finishing it while riding the bus back to my couchsurfing spot in Rio. I was racing to the end of the book and when I looked up I had missed my stop. I got off and was in completely the wrong neighborhood. Oh well...made it back eventually and got to see another part of a beautiful city.

I love movies but I have a bad habit of falling asleep during them...just ask my girlfriend.
