About Me

I love meeting new people and making connections that turn into friendships!

I am a lifelong learner, am passionate, curious, love to share, am generous of heart, love learning new things and exploring.

I have a bachelor of science in social psychology and a master of social work degrees.

I am a United States Air Force Veteran who served in Operation Desert Storm in 1993.

I'm a great listener and a very good conversationalist.

I'm a writer, a speaker, a coach, a facilitator, an educator, a social worker, a word-artisan, poet, loyal friend and love to explore.

I love nature, music, dance, travel, attending learning and experiential events including retreats, lectures, symposiums, conferences, festivals, concerts and sailing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to experience life from a wide angle. I welcome diversity, respect and honor difference, am passionate about social justice, kindness, peace and growing as a human being, and helping others grow and celebrate life together.

When possible, I'll couch surf as a way of experiencing life's diverse opportunities to share, learn, and meet new people.

Interests

One of my top interests is a specialized form of sharing and communicating with the intent to learn, grow and share is the process of shared creative dialogues. I've been doing this for over seven years with my friend Alan. Here is a sample of our recordings to date. http://kairoscreativity.blogspot.com/

I'm a passionate researcher in the fields of psychology, sociology, science, neurology, physics, cosmology, religion, spirituality, human geography, social work and sacred psychology, as well as gender studies and men's work. I have been a member of The Mankind Project for over 15 years since 1998. www.mpk.org.

I'm eager to begin visiting universities around the world, share the currency of ideas together, and am working on my first book, and am eager to develop several TED talks on human flourishing and personal development as well as spirituality and healing from painful experiences to reclaim one's freedom, dignity and inner peace.
