I'm a percussionist, oxygen breather, computer enthusiast, programmer, hiker, longboarder, drinker of tea and coffee and beer. I graduated from ISU in 2019 with a BS in computer science, and have been working/living in VA since January of 2020. As of June 2023, I am back in the midwest.

to find places to live while traveling that aren't too expensive, while also still contributing to society, meet people, help people, make meaningful connections.
to have a unique window into the world, one that is more interesting than the traditional lifestyle and not isolated and private.
to participate in a communal lifestyle, where bartering and sharing house responsibilities are the norm, rather than paying way too much money for rent.

I see couch surfing as part of a cultural transition towards a more sustainable residential situation. Also, the social interactions that inevitably occur can open the door to further mutually beneficial activity, which can further expand to heal the surrounding ecosystems.

兴趣

Drums, piano. I like to participate in improvisational jams, and play metal, prog metal, jazz, rock, prog rock, math rock, most types of rock, blues, or anything good really.
I do yoga and practice mindfulness, and am interested in matters of consciousness.
I enjoy programming and computer stuff, including some video games.
I can cook good healthy food. Usually I keep it pretty simple but still tasty by using spices.
