ABOUT ME

I'm a mother of two adults whom I very much love and LIKE, daughter (26yo) and son (25yo). I also enjoy my German Shepherd Dog, Noble, and my Little Sister, Zoe, from the Big Brother/Sister mentoring program. I'm fortunate to have good childhood friends, as well as, opportunities that allow me to meet and make new friends.

I joined CS a year ago, but have only hosted once and been hosted once in Italy.

Interessen

I like to eat and drink with good friends and family; garden, read, listen to music, walk my dog, watch movies. I like to swim, dance, ride bikes, hike, but I don't do these things enough.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I tend to read several books at once.I have Failure is Impossible (Susan B. Anthony - Woman suffrage) and The Musem of Innocense (Orhan Pamuk) going right now. I have a couple of other short stories sitting with book markers. Music: I like it all except country...eh, sometimes. Movies: Biutiful, My Fair Lady, Fight Club, The Illusionist, The Prestige.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I can think of several things that have moved me for having witnessed them or made me feel good for having completed them, but when you know me, you'll understand why I say the most amazing things I've seen/done are watching my kids go off to school on a big yellow bus, come home safely, graduate from high school, college, etc. and still keep coming home safely.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Wow, teaching. There's lots I still want to learn, but I'm not sure what I would state I can teach. Cooking, eating, and listening to music is always a good starting point for sharing. I'm happy to share with you anything about what life has taught me so far.
