ABOUT ME

I have lived in Salt Lake City my entire life and am ready to see new things. For that past 10 years I have devoted myself to music of all sorts and now I am ready for some new experiences.
I have traveled to Europe, Africa and China and have thoroughly enjoyed all of those places.

PHILOSOPHY

Secular Humanist. I believe in empathy and community. Whatever creates those in your life is a good thing.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have hosted multiple surfers over the years at my home and each has brought great stories and contributed to a better understanding of my city, their city and traveling in general. If I am staying with you I plan on getting to know the city through your eyes. I would like to buy you something to eat and drink and chat about what your city has to offer. While I love going to museums and doing other tourist type things, what I really enjoy about a city is the sense of place that you get when you take time to sit and enjoy a city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted multiple people throughout the years and have been invited into several peoples homes (and vans) during my adventures. I love that each person I stay with is outgoing, but each person has a unique attitude. I like getting to know the people I am staying with and maybe help them do some problem solving whether it be fixing a faucet or general life advice. I think that through conversation peoples ideas/ideologies can change and that holding onto conservative beliefs is not always the best line of thought.

All soul music from the 50's/60's/70's, All sorts of electronic music. Harry Nillson, Donovan, Gil Scott Heron are all major influences.
Favorite books are typically Sci-Fi : Diamond Age Neil Stephenson or Enders Game Orson Scott Card.
I enjoy movies but I am no film buff.

Reaching the highest mountain chain in Africa the Atlas mountains and driving Morocco's Tiz'n'Test pass/ having everything I brought on a trip stolen from me and learning to accept the generosity of others to help me home.
