My name is Thomas, I'm 26 and from Norway. I love to read, to philosophize, to have deep conversations and to hear peoples stories. Hostel, tent, boat or a 5-star hotel, it doesn't matter to me. I pride myself on flexibility, and thrive in new environments. As for personality, I'm very open minded and curious, yet do not shy away from disagreements, as I find the friendly friction to be generative. Somewhat extroverted and low in neuroticism, meaning I rarely get stressed out. I have a deep sense that things will work themselves out.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Because I love this way of traveling, I learn so much more about culture and people. My first experiences abroad were such a shock, my whole life took another wholly unexpected path. As a somewhat introverted and shy Norwegian, joining the international culture of travelers was absolutely mind-blowing, and I loved it. Haven't been able to stop since.

My music taste is quite broad (hip-hop to Mozart and everything in between) and I love when people share their favorite tunes. My two favorite movies is probably Inception and Intouchables. As for books, you cant really beat Nietzsche's Zarathustra, nor Moby-Dick.

Traveling south east Asia by myself, drove around Vietnam on a motorbike for a month. That was when I was 21, my first solo journey abroad, best thing I've ever done for myself.

Deep conversations about circling around philosophy, psychology, religion and literature. I love to make a soul connection, and I would like to think that I'm a decent listener too. I can cook, but I'm far from great.

I am somewhat handy, and I really enjoy to participate with whatever I can, don't be afraid to boss me around! Before going to university I worked on oil rigs as a mechanic, and I work every summer for 7 years as a kind of outdoors janitor, I love that kind of stuff (well, for short periods).
