I'm a multimedia journalist and aspiring world traveler based out of Austin, Tx. I have an amazing little house in Austin with two small couches but a lot of floor space. I'm excited to start building karma points on CS for future travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My old roommate was really active on CS so we've had people stay at the house before, but this is my first time to set up my own profile. I've slept on just about every imaginable surface while traveling, from kitchen floors to the backseat of a car, so the idea of a network for travelers sounds extremely awesome.

I'm a sucker for Motown and film noir, but I can enjoy just about anything. I think I'm living in the past culturally and I'm pretty okay with that.

A friend and I hitched a ride with a crazy Chinese man from Beijing to the Great Wall of China last summer and ended up being the only ones at the top. I will never forget watching the sun rise over the Charles Bridge in Prague after staying out all night carrying on with friends. Captaining a sailboat around the coast of Greece. Backpacking in Big Bend and Guadalupe State Park. I've been really blessed to be able to do so many awesome things and I can't wait to add to the list.

I'm a firm believer in the transformative and enlightening power of travel, so I love meeting people who've traveled extensively. I can get along with just about anybody but I try to surround myself with the adventurous, the old souls and the young at heart.
