I am a very calm and easygoing person. I love to travel all over the world, meeting new people and exploring new cultures. I like to challenge myself and my ideals by travelling in unconventional ways and to unconventional places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that Couchsurfing is a great way to travel and really get to know a new country and a new culture. People on here are always very outgoing and accommodating and very willing to share their knowledge of their home area.

Interests

I love sailing and have been a sailor my whole life... I work as a relief captain and race crew all over the world and therefore get to travel a lot! One of my great passions is windsurfing which I love to do wherever and whenever I can. More recently I have been getting in to biking and particularly bike touring as a means of travel. I think it's a great way to see a country and meet people

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite book ever is 'Candide' - Voltaire. It's amazing to me that such a short story written hundreds of years ago can still be so funny and so relevant today. I love many types of music but if I had to choose my all time favourite band it would have to be Pink Floyd.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently sailed in a race from long beach to Hawaii on a 37 foot boat and had the race of a lifetime. Also went skydiving when we got to Hawaii which was as amazing if not more
