About Me

Born in Western Austria I went to college in Innsbruck (Austria), Cork (Ireland) and Freiburg (Germany) and I recently moved to Boston (USA) to do research here for my masters thesis on urban biking.
I consider myself as being a quite open-minded person who really likes to have good conversations with people about things that are important for them. Moreover I would dare to say that it is not too hard to get along with me.

IMPORTANT:
I live here in Boston in a co-op with 5 other people (for German speakers: A co-op is similar to a "WG"). We share food and other costs and are also a community. Our co-op is excited to host people and we even have a small guest room!
We usually only accept surfers who already have at least one positive reference from a host or a surfer. I know this is difficult for new starters, but I hope you'll understand.

Two very important details:

1. Our co-op is strictly vegetarian. That does NOT mean, that our guests have to be vegetarian too. But if you stay with us, you can't cook meat here or even bring meat stuff to the house. Sorry, but we are not flexible about this.

2. Some of our friends are lesbian, gay, trans, queer. We want them to feel safe and comfortable when they come to our house. That's why we expect our couchsurfers to be 100% respectful towards them.

Please write a *personalized* message! Tell me a little bit about yourself, why you're coming to Boston, why you want to stay with me (and not in a hostel), etc.

A tip: We value good food in our house. If you like cooking too, why not mention a certain vegetarian dish, which you have made for people in the past - and which you would be excited to cook for us?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Staying with locals is more fun! Traveling should be affordable! That's why I think it's important that there's an alternative to commercial hospitality industry (hotels, hostels, etc), although they definitely have their place as well.
