I grew up in Portland and have watch it transform in to Luxury Condoville, USA over the last decade or so. I spent 2.5 years in the Dominican Republic teaching computer skills to the less fortunate. I am a committed WWOOFer who has even contributed many hours of volunteer labor to WWOOF USA and helped them secure grant funding in 2010. I come to CS wanting to explore other forms of exchange and, of course, to explore the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My travel history mostly involves stays with friends. Apart from weekend trips to places like Chicago and Boston I have also spent:

*1 month in Monterrey, Mexico with family

*8 weeks in Honduras with Amigos de las Americas

*6 months in Guatemala with IE3 Global Internships

*2.5 years in the Dominican Republic with the Peace Corps
