ABOUT ME

People would describe me as laid-back, friendly, and thoughtful. Though I tend to work hard for my goals, I've found I am happiest when I step off the edge and explore. The next adventure is what life is all about. I love to get out and do things and get to know new people. I'm very open-minded to other people's opinions and not much offends me. Some of my passions are playing music, running/biking, and learning more about the world and the people in it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Host, surf, hang out with the local couch-surfing community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been to a number of Twin Cities, Minnesota couch-surfing events. I've hosted a couple people and couch-surfed with someone I had previously hosted. I hope to more of both in the future - particularly surfing with people I hadn't met before.

兴趣

Playing piano and guitar, running, biking, eating all of the ethnic food, drinking craft beer, meeting new people, learning new things about the world, snowboarding, going to shows, going out, looking at art, being a tourist, trying not to be a tourist, traveling in new places, speaking German, attempting to speak Spanish and failing, dancing with strangers, and whistling or singing when I think no one's listening.

Live music. Dead music. Also the jazzy kind. Music I can dance to.

I tend to read books by recommendation. Some authors I've enjoyed: Haruki Murakami, Bryce Courtenay, Malcolm Gladwell, Gillian Flynn, Bill Waterson.

Shows: House of Cards, How I Met Your Mother, Game of Thrones, Orphan Black, Firefly, 30 Rock.

Hiking by myself in the Swiss Alps was pretty amazing.

I saw the most amazing sunset I've ever seen while canoeing in the Boundary Waters National Park.
