About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to be inspired and to create

ABOUT ME

Thinking lots about space and place and how people fit, mold, adapt their energies to them. Horizon means a lot to me--sky, mountains, ocean, tundra--but also cities, buildings and the people and culture within, between them. I have developed a recent infatuation with architecture, a field which blends my love of art with the practical realities of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short not to spend it with people and places that inspire you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host when I can, offer travel advice or company when I can't and hope to surf more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted more than I have surfed (officially). I have made some good and great friends, and I think the best way to travel is with a local guide, definitely. It's good to occasionally show off where you're living to an outsider. It reminds you to appreciate the wonderful things that you sometimes overlook after living there for a long time.
I'd like to surf more as I travel more, because it's so much more meaningful and so much easier to understand a culture through a local's eyes.
